Last weekend one of my best buddies was married in Wake Forest. She was actually one of my college roommates at USC. So, myself and my two other former roomies and one honorary(aka "the Marion Street girls") headed to Wake to participate in the festivities and watch our girl get married. I had such a great time being with the gals again and creating new hilarious memories.
This is the beautiful bride Paige and her matron of honor Becca. They are looking over some flower arrangements before the wedding. It was an outdoor wedding and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous created by the groom's mom and her pals.
The rehearsal dinner was so much fun and Tyler even drove up, with Janna's husband Joe, to join me. From left me, Janna, Josh (groom) Paige (bride) and Emily. And, yes I gave the best rehearsal dinner speech known to man.
Before the rehearsal dinner, and after a long day of running errands, we really could have used a nap. Emily tried really hard to sneak one in, but this poor little dog had been wanting to look out the window all day long.
Our day of errands took us over to the mall and we were in kind of a hurry, but that didn't stop us from allowing this woman to pour an entire bottle of perfume and lotion over each one of our entire arms.
I really don't know what to write under this picture. It really just is what is ...hilarious.

Not much more can make a Momma happier than watching her babies lovin' on each other. Maggie and Henry are at a really sweet age right now. Sure they have little tiffs here and there, but they really do enjoy one another. Henry is constantly following his big sister around and Maggie is usually very nurturing and motherly towards Henry. He was feeling a little under the weather today, for example, and Maggie started rubbing his back and said "it's okay buddy, we love you." And, then later Maggie was pretending to "sleep" on the living room floor and Henry came and laid his head against hers. My heart just melts during those moments. It almost cancels out the toy snatching entirely...almost.
I plan on re-reading this post when my kids hit early elementary/middle school years and are constantly fighting, like my brother and I did. But, my prayer is and will continue to be that the Lord comes back before adolescence hits.
Our pumpkin this year is the cowardly lion per Maggie's request. We have a wizard of Oz theme going this year all because my sister loaned us her old lion costume (or rather Brodys) for Henry to use. I wanted the kids to match and so I made Maggie a Dorothy dress, and convinced her that there's nothing better than being Dorothy for Halloween. The red sparkly shoes did most of the persuading and have been on Maggie's feet almost every single day since they were purchased.
