38 weeks!

Yes, 38 weeks can you believe it? We certainly can't except for this huge belly that reminds us. We'll keep the updates coming...very exciting times!

OR shower fun!

Well, today I was completely overwhelmed by the generosity of my co-workers at CMC. I opened baby gifts for Maggie non-stop from 1pm to 3pm. She has more outfits, blankets and toys than any one child should be allowed to have! I will have to change her outfit at least three times a day to make sure she wears everything once before a growth spurt! It was a shower like no other, mostly and obviously because we were at work and the operations didn't stop just for this occasion (although maybe they should have cause it was that awesome), but the staff gave each other breaks and shared there time so that everyone that wanted to could have a chance to get some cake and look at all the cute baby items. Thank you to all involved, we feel so loved!

Test Baby

Many thanks to Lucy McCann for volunteering her services thursday afternoon. We needed to test out some of Maggie's baby gear before her arrival in a few weeks and Lucy was more than willing to try out a few things for us. I believe she approved of all the gear, but perhaps a bit of overstimulation might have taken place towards the end of her jaunt. But, overall I believe she approved, and thank you Tyler for assisting Lucy to all available baby seating in the vicinity.

Holy Moly almost 37 weeks!

Two days shy of 37 weeks and looking as svelte as ever. Just thought we'd keep you out of towners up to date on the growing belly! Any weight estimates on the Magsters?

The Nursery

Life Group Baby Shower!

Thanks to our lifegroup for the fun shower (and a special thanks to our hostessess with the mostesses...Jenny and Jill)! We feel so loved.





Last night our life group through us a baby shower! We had a great time and enjoyed spending time with our dear friends. Maggie is sure blessed to have so many people in her life that care for her already! Here are a few pics from the night. Take note of the awesome cake and cookies that matched the invitations Jenny had made.

Columbia Baby Shower

Here are some fun pictures from last weekend's baby shower in Columbia given by two out of three sisters! The first pic is of four generations, Grandma, Mom, Me and wee little Maggie or rather Great Grandma, Grandma, mom and Maggie. The second pic is of the dress my mom hand made for Maggie, it is absolutely adorable. The third pic is of the family members that could make it to the shower. We took a picture of everyone at the shower, but it didn't make it to my camera, mostly because I forgot my camera, so these pics were all donated by Aunt Debbie. Thanks aunt Debbie!

34 weeks and 4 days!

five weeks and 3 days to go...here is Maggie inside mommy this morning before work!

Snow in Charlotte!

The Dirks family awoke this morning to quite a pleasant surprise...snow! It was falling all around, and while it may have incapacitated most Charlotteans did it stop the Dirks from going to work and school...no way. Life for these two carried on as normal except for a beautiful landscape surrounding there seperate daily journeys to and fro.
