Prepare to meet your Baker

On Saturday morning our family ran the Great Harvest Bread Co. 5k. It was a lot of fun running a race as a family. Maggie and Henry especially enjoyed the chick fil et cow that greeted us when we arrived. Maggie kept asking for him during the run and we told her that she would get to see him again when we got to the finish line. However, when we got back he had left...lesson learned...don't promise things to your children that you can't deliver. She wasn't too upset though because there were lots of other distractions like puppies (the race was benefiting the humane society) chocolate covered strawberries (and other yummy treats that no one feels like eating after running) and lots of people to watch. It was a great way to spend our Saturday morning.

We started and ended completely average. We were exactly 199 and 200 in a group of around 400..ha. Although in Tyler's defense he was pushing quite a heavy load.

A million Posts comin' at ya

So I have just done some major blogging to make up for some slackage on my part. Although the slacking mostly comes from packing and moving. However I know there are some grandparents out there dying to see some pics and videos of our little ones. So, I included three videos of Maggie and Henry for your enjoyment. No one can make Henry laugh like Maggie can. She is his favorite comedian hands down as you will see. Please excuse the messiness captured in the videos, but do enjoy the amazing cuteness that is Maggie and Henry.

Quail Hollows

In between packing and moving we decided to take a little break and head over to the Quail Hollows golf course for the Wachovia tournament. We joined our pals the Dyers and took our cars to South End and then loaded the light rail which took us to a bus which dropped us off at the tournament. We did all this with three kids, four adults, one on the way, two strollers, one snugli and plenty of snacks. It was quite an adventure. The weather was beautiful and the children were so well behaved.

Maggie and Caleigh heard Tiger ask for a "wood" so they took off for the trees. What silly little girls they take things so literal.

We finally moved!

Praise the Lord we have finally moved. We have been under contract twice since we put our home at Maple Shade on the market last year and yesterday we actually made it to Uptown! Our prayer when we started out on this long journey was to move closer to Johnson and Wales. At our old home we lived about 25 minutes away from the campus, this coupled with the fact that many students at JWU don't drive made it rather difficult for us to minister as a family. Of course the Lord worked despite the miles, but now we live 2.3 miles from campus. This is such an answer to prayer. Tyler even rode his bike to work yesterday. Thank you all for teaming with us in praying for this move. We are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for our family in this new neighborhood and in our ministry to the students in Uptown!
